Pistake
From wiki.comics.org.nz
'BOLLARCHS! Greetings from Havelock North, codpiece features!'
Pistake was a series of 12 mini-comics published between August 1992 and early 1995 by Toilet Paper Press, Wellington. Edited by writer David Tulloch, each issue was 16-24 pages long, B&W A5, and sold for $1.50 through Comics Compulsion (later to become Graphic). Regular contributors included Simon Morse and Rufus Dayglo (together as Liquid Lunch). An exuberant mixture of regulars and one-offs, Pistake contained several popular serials, including the Dark Knight-mocking Straitjacket Ninja and the violent Tank Girl gormlessness of Peanut Butter and Spermicidal Jelly. Pistake was both affordable and accessible, and for a time the most visible local comic in Wellington.
